Cari Stubbs
Therapist, MA, LPC
My Approach
I typically pull from an integrated approach with traditional talk therapy, trauma-informed therapy (I am trained in EMDR), person-centered, and strength-based approaches as my foundations. I am additionally trained in ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention therapy), the gold standard for OCD. You have strength and solutions within yourself already, and part of my goal as your therapeutic guide is to help you uncover them so you can live fully and confidently in your own skin. Your story is one of a kind, and our time together will reflect that as we will tailor your treatment plan to your individual needs. If my approach resonates with you, I would love to connect further!

What to Expect
When you walk into my office, you can expect an accepting and safe space. One where your emotions are validated and where your pain is heard and held, not shoved away. I believe in the power of processing-- that there are things you don’t know you knew about yourself until you say them out loud. I believe in the power of new ideas—that you can learn research-based therapeutic strategies and coping skills that will benefit your inner dialogue and physical experience on a day-to-day basis. And I believe in the power of relationship-- that the greatest work comes after we form a trusting relationship.
